Letter of Intent (LOI)

Overview

The BMSF DCTCDP application is a 2-step process.


The LOI is the first step in the application process and will open on January 4, 2021. Applicants are required to submit an LOI by July 2, 2021 to be considered for the 2021 Cohort. Applicants are encouraged to apply early as applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.


Upon review, selected candidates will be invited to submit a full application.

LOI Components

  1. Degree and dates received
  2. List clinical specialty and sub-specialty
  3. Self-identify racial or ethnic minority group OR indicate Other and describe your demonstrated commitment to diversity in clinical trials
  4. Identify Citizenship/Immigration Status
  5. Position / Job title and start date
  6. Name and location of institution / organization 
  7. Does your institution support your application?
  8. Do you have a potential mentor identified at your institution with whom you can participate on an ongoing clinical trial?
  9. List all current sources of funding
  10. List all significant publications within the last 2-3 years
  11. Submit current CV (within 6 months)
  12. Indicate your experience with the design of clinical trials studies or participation in clinical trial research
  13. Provide a brief description of the research you aspire to participate in during the 2-yr BMSF DCTCDP (limit 300 words) *Research projects must be drug treatment studies.*
  14. Provide a brief description of how you see this program advancing your career and your ability to contribute to increasing diversity in clinical trials (limit 300 words)
